Let’s ignite the possibility in a group of people!
As a speaker and a trainer for more than a decade, I know there is nothing more powerful than getting a room full of people excited to take action on new ideas.
I cover topics in many areas, including:
- Sales process and systems
- Leadership
- Strategy and goal setting
- Psychology, human behavior, and influence

Bring me your BEST…or WORST people.
Yah, that’s right. I love a challenge. I have sat through countless workshops and listened to speakers in my time. So I can totally understand when people say, “Oh great, another speaker…”
My job as a speaker, facilitator, and trainer is to first unlock the mindsets of the people I am speaking to. We all have preconceived notions and mental models we struggle with each day.
Regardless of the situation, people are people and we need to acknowledge some basic human needs to connect, think, and be understood. And have fun. That’s my role as a speaker.
I have experience speaking with all sizes of groups and there is really no situation that you could throw at me! I’ve spoken with many people from small, local networking groups to billion dollar multinationals, and everything in between – including education and government.
It’s not about ME.
Over the years through my own personal development, I came to the realization that no one really cares what I do or say on stage. They care about how I make them feel (That is a slight adaptation of a Maya Angelou concept, but it’s true).
I used to worry about my voice, how I looked, and the words I said. Like many people, I would get stressed. Once I started working on myself and also with a spiritual coach, I began to realize over the years that I needed to be more vulnerable in order to help others feel safe to express themselves. I also learned to acknowledge my ego and ask myself (even while on stage), “Is this about me or is this about them?”
Some examples of speaking and topics:
Times they are A’Changing: How to Sell in Today’s No-Trust Era
Presenting as a keynote at the Advocis annual event for financial planners, we helped reframe what sales is and do away with some old school thinking.
Sales Reinvented Podcast: “Don’t be a Salesy Weirdo”
I loved being interviewed on this podcast to talk about how sales has changed and what salespeople and leaders need to do to make sure they are doing the right things to win and stay authentic. All without being “salesy weirdos.”
Make it Snappy Show: “All the One Things”
On a panel with Steve Cunningham, founder of ReadItFor.me where we discussed the book “The One Thing” and how to apply the strategies within it to get things done.
Smarter Marketer: “How to Overcome Your Fear of Selling”
Salesmanship often gets a bad rap. To many, it’s viewed as opportunistic and even a little sleazy. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Mindset by Design: “Neuroscience. Sales and the New Way to Influence”
We dove deep into the brain, psychology, and habits with NLP Master, Andy Murphy who works with top performers all around the world.
Sales Hero Podcast with Joe Girard
You’ll learn some cool stuff about psychology, behavior, and neuroscience, how to create repeatable best practices and systems, and building YOUR bulletproof mindset. This is a ton of fun!
Joe Girard delivered the keynote address at our 2016 conference, in front of approximately 150 solopreneurs and small business owners. He was hands-down the most popular keynote we’ve ever had. His presentation material and style were dynamic, unique and refreshing. Joe took the time to learn about our association and industry, so his presentation was tailored and relevant. Comments from attendees included “I couldn’t wait to get home and start practicing the techniques” and “I didn’t think I had anything to learn about selling, but I learned a lot”. Our whole group was fired up and inspired, and the conversations continued long after the presentation was over.
